How quickly does your server answer?
We time seven real requests from your browser — the first including DNS and the secure handshake — then add Google's own lab measurement for comparison.
How it works
Straight from the source.
Every result comes live from a recognised public source — named under your results, so you can check our work.
- 1Time real requestsYour browser requests the page seven times: once cold, six over an open connection.
- 2Separate the setupThe first visit includes DNS and the secure handshake; repeats show the server itself.
- 3Compare with the labGoogle's lab measures the same page from its servers for a second view.
Private by design
No accounts, no cookies, no tracking. NuuMa doesn't store what you check. To run the tests, the address you enter goes directly from your browser to the public services named above. The only thing kept is a small daily counter in your own browser that keeps these tools free for everyone.
Questions, answered plainly
What's a good server response time?
Google's guidance treats a real-visitor Time to First Byte of 0.8 seconds or less as good. Our browser test times the full HTML download from where you are, so your distance from the server counts too.
Why is the first visit slower?
It includes looking up the domain and setting up the secure connection. Repeat visits reuse that connection.
How do I make it faster?
Host closer to your visitors, cache pages instead of building each one on request, and keep the HTML light.
